Louisiana's Men's Basketball head coach Bob Marlin recently picked up a postseason award after being tabbed by CollegeInsider.com as the Sun Belt's Coach of the Year.

In his first season at the helm of the Ragin' Cajuns, Marlin directed one of the greatest turnarounds in school history. After a woeful 3-14 start, UL rattled off 11 straight wins to claim a share of the SBC's West Division Title.

The 11-game streak was the second longest win streak in school history. During their winning ways, Marlin and Co. also set a school record after knocking off 10 straight Sun Belt opponents.

For their efforts, the Cajuns saw J.J. Thomas and Travis Bureau pick up All-Sun Belt honors.

Marlin also helped the Cajuns lead the league in attendance for conference games (4,742) and overall attendance (3,919).
